Market indices to identify future wheat and barley market opportunities

AEGIC built a digital market insights portal to collect, store, analyse and display data on Australian pulse markets. The Portal and related tools will help Australian stakeholders with planning decisions and identification of future market opportunities. Following strong support from industry, the Portal was expanded to include wheat, barley and other grains.

In September 2024, we invited 500 representatives from 100 Australian-based organisations to explore the Portal and provide feedback. We also provided online and in-person demonstration sessions to key stakeholders.

Following the completion of this project, we will develop a strategy for the long-term management of the Portal, in accordance with industry needs, subject to funding and resource availability. As part of this strategy, a subscription-based model to help develop and maintain the Portal will be considered.
