AEGIC engaged with the Asian aquafeed markets of Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand to explore the potential for Australian grains to meet their rapidly growing and changing needs. Asia is by far the largest aquafeed market in the world but the extent of engagement of the Australian grains industry with this market is relatively low.
We have consulted with key industry organisations, including Grains Australia, Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and the Australian Oilseeds Federation, on the insights gathered in this project.
This project has now ended. A report will be made available to Australian stakeholders in November 2024 via the AEGIC Grain Market Insights Portal. Following the completion of this project, we will continue to explore and advance opportunities for Australian grains and products in aquaculture markets with Grains Australia and relevant Australia industry associations.
AEGIC builds strong relationships with industry stakeholders, who recognise the value we deliver, seek our expertise and invest in our projects. We collaborate with a range of industry partners to increase value across the Australian grains supply chain.
